Kreg K5 Stop Collar Jig

While I was building my adjustable height workbench I experienced a lot of long and  heavy boards. This created a problem for accurate drilling of pocket holes. Regardless of the Kreg K5 built in clamp, the boards would lean or shift due to the length and weight of each board.

I didn’t see the necessity for building an elaborate station for the Kreg K5 System. However, I may end up making something like that in the near future.

I needed a quick remedy that would solve this issue. So I made the Kreg K5 Stop Collar Jig!

I haven’t gotten much input on this jig as far as comments on YouTube. However, it was very useful for the issue I was having. I still use it often.

The solution I was wanting was something that would support the opposite end of the board while I was drilling. Adding some paste wax to the bottom of this jig really made the project go smoothly.
