I guess I got tired of using my cellphone to film YouTube episodes. I felt that it was time to upgrade my setup and go to the next level. The Canon 80D is an old camera, but it’s still worth it’s weight in gold as far as YouTube Vlogging is concerned. Super crisp 1080p @60 FPS with ultra sharp focusing? Who doesn’t love that!
I had a cheap $20 tripod and felt that it just wouldn’t do. The Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 tripod coupled with the MVH502AH is an awesome setup for me. Although that setup is really for cinematography, I like that it’s sturdy and it does 90° positioning as well.
I’m planning on getting the Rode Video Mic Pro Plus for in shop vlogging and outdoor filming.
