Kreg Shelving

When I was first setting up my shop,  I made some quick shelving for my power tool boxes. Like everything in life, we tend to look back and critique some things. Well, I think the new version of the shelf is better.

It’s nothing special, I just used a couple of pieces of plywood and particle board that I had laying around. I also used some pocket hole screws, glue, and the Kreg Shelving Jig.

I put some strong cleats on the back and tacked some molding on the front. It suites my needs for now. Obviously the design will change once I get more tools and room in my shop.

Materials Used

  • 3/4″ Common Pine Plywood
  • 3/4″ Partical Board
  • 2×4 Studs
  • Pine Strips (Framing)
  • Pocket Hole Screws
  • Kreg Shelving Jig
  • Titebond II Wood Glue
  • Watco Natural Danish Oil

When you have a small garage, a few adjustments need to be made. I already had a thickness planer and just bought the Ridgid EB4424 Sander. So I needed a space saving solution. I searched around the web as usual and looked at some designs, but I didn’t like some of the locking options for…

Yet another addition to the organization of the workshop. I recently added a furry member to our family named “Princess Lucy” (Our daughter’s Idea). A beautiful German Shepard dog. She kept jumping over our retro 80’s low front fence. Our fence,  barely reaching 4′ in height, the dog would jump over it with ease. So…
