Square & Measuring Tool Holder

Once again it’s a constant battle organizing the shop, especially if you don’t have a specific place to put things.

I had some squares, rulers, and misc things just hanging randomly on the wall.

As I get older I guess I get more OCD about these things. To my defense, a more organized shop is a more efficient shop.

I used an idea I saw and of course customized it to my needs.

This will support more tools as I acquire them in the future.

While I was working I decided to build another clamp rack for the Kreg style clamps as well as the C-Clamp types.

Materials Used:

  • 3/4″ Common Pine Plywood
  • Construction Screws
  • 2 x 4 Stud
  • 1 x 4 Stud
  • 1″ X 36″ Plain Steel Flat Bar
  • 3/4″ Hardwood Round Dowels
  • 5/16″ Aspen Round Dowels
  • White Oak
  • Titebond II Wood Glue

I wasn’t really needing a tape dispenser, but I saw a random video on YouTube and it gave me an idea. Honestly, I think it’s a great thing to have in the shop. This dispenser can accommodate all sizes of tapes in random orders as well. The dividers can be arranged in any order. I’ve…

The title doesn’t necessarily mean I’m a professional. It just means that I work with those materials. Shop…

  • Barn Doors

My neighbors caught wind that I dabbled in woodworking and asked if I could make them some barn doors in their hallway office/den area. I was honored they had faith in me and trusted me to do a good job. I will tell you that barn doors are very difficult to get right because they…

  • Garage Garden Tool Rack

Yet another addition to the organization of the workshop. I recently added a furry member to our family named “Princess Lucy” (Our daughter’s Idea). A beautiful German Shepard dog. She kept jumping over our retro 80’s low front fence. Our fence,  barely reaching 4′ in height, the dog would jump over it with ease. So…

  • Shopvac Cart

Like all woodworking shops there is a dust issue. I eventually purchased a shopvac and shortly after a Dust Deputy by Oneida Systems. The foam brick that they include to attach to your shopvac with small casters wasn’t going suffice for my needs. I decided to look for shopvac cart designs online and on YouTube….
