Adjustable Tape Dispenser

I wasn’t really needing a tape dispenser, but I saw a random video on YouTube and it gave me an idea. Honestly, I think it’s a great thing to have in the shop.

This dispenser can accommodate all sizes of tapes in random orders as well.

The dividers can be arranged in any order. I’ve come up with a formula using the dividers to configure 3″, 2″, or 1″ tapes. The dividers can also separate tools and fasteners as well. I added a hacksaw blade and the spiked blade from a packing tape dispenser to the front. In addition, I added a scissor holder and a traditional tool box handle for mobility.

Since the initial build,  I’ve made modifications to it.

New Version

As you can see, I’ve created a beveled angle in the front so that the blade sticks out 45° to cut the tapes better. I also rounded the sharp corners on the top of the handle holders. In addition, I raised the tape dividers to accommodate very large reels of tapes.

I’m very happy with the revised version.

We get so excited to release videos on YouTube and don’t give ourselves time to evaluate the things we make so that we can make changes accordingly.
